THE GRUDGE!

'We haven't spoken in 7 years', she said, 'Why?' I asked, and she replied, 'Well, I honestly don't know...I remember though, we had a fight and stopped talking.........ever since then'. 

To be honest, I was tongue tied, 'cos I do the same, many times....Get mad and keep a grudge (Being honest)... You?

It's something I get tested on everyday. It's something I'm willing to change- this bad habit. 

I read the article below on one of my fave 'devo' apps this morning...and I thought it's a great reminder on how we can let go of this bad habit.....

Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. (NLT) -Proverbs 4:23
Do you protect your heart?  What baggage is following you around.  This principle of protecting your heart will serve you well.  No one ever wants to have bad feelings towards another because of unresolved conflict.  Who wants to be ducking and hiding in the grocery store because we still have a grudge towards a prior situation.  Guard your heart well and settle your issues quickly.

Keeping a grudge is crazy bad!!!! Whether you are 

the hurt or the one hurting, just let go (Yes, I know

 how hard it is..been there many times). Pray for

them, bless them, talk to them. One of my favourite

advise from my sensei is this: Don't give anyone the

 remote control to your life...Don't let them

 determine your mood and joy.


Let's face it, keeping a grudge does that.....You stop 

smiling or stop being joyful just because 'that

 person' walks into a room...It feels like all the 

sweet aura you felt  had vanished, and standing in 

its place, a giant elephant... Isn't it so stressful?



Guide your heart....Bury the grudge...It's not worth

it...#True story!

'THE RIGHT OF FIRST REFUSAL'

First of all, let me say I'm so sorry.....

Haven't blogged in a while (~covers face~)...So sorryyyyyyyyyy.....

How are you :D ?

So today, I got a really good advise from a friend of mine. He's about getting married and he says most times, he  asks his fiancee the following questions: 

1. Honey, am i doing anything you hate?
2. If yes, please could you give me the right of first refusal?

He believes in second chances and that rather than 'write him off' for his stupidity, His 'wifey' should give him a trial...You know, 'the right of first refusal'....an opportunity to prove that he is better and will get better.....

I love how God gives us the right of first refusals over and over again....I love how when we mess up, He choose to love us over and over again (when we honestly repent and return to him)....

Mind blowing right?

In our everyday life...could you offer people the right of first refusals...like when someone offend you and all you want to do is 'break their head'....could you forgive and give them a second chance....?

However, does this 'dear right' apply to someone who commits a hideous crime, like a rape or a heartbreak or something really 'evil'?

What's your thoughts?

Always think, What would God do?

The Art of Forgiveness

The picture is not related to the post or maybe it is (if the wife forgives her husband for forgetting)...Just want to make you laugh a little...I did too...Hehehehehehehe....

Is it easy to forgive?

I remember Sunday school class from some years back, we were talking about Jesus and my teacher told us the story of Peter, Jesus and the art of forgiveness. She said, Peter asked the Lord how often he should forgive his brother. The Lord's answer to him was simple: Up to 70 times seven times. (Matthew 18:22) In other words, all the time!

I’ve tried to live by that, you know, ‘To err is human but to forgive is 

divine’....But it’s not easy...

I remember one incident a long time ago, I was so angry and didn’t let go of the hurt I felt then. I refused to talk to or forgive those hurt me...I admit I was maniac, but one day, it dawned on me that being angry wasn’t helping at all. Felt like a hypocrite too because How can i say I love God whom I can’t see and hate my fellow human being whom I see? My mom says, if you want forgiveness, then forgive others.

Forgiving others isn’t easy though. Imagine being in the same situation as the guy in the movie ‘Law abiding citizen’. Someone comes to your house and rape/kill your wife and kids. Would you forgive?

Or imagine being in the shoes of my friend Naima, whose bestie ‘or so she thought’ stole her man. Would you forgive your friend or your man?

What if someone killed your child mistakenly, probably due to drunk driving, would you forgive that person?

It’s not easy but I’ve always looked at things this way, when you see yourself as being as imperfect as the one who hurt you, you would forgive, ‘Cos really, if errors were what God watched, who would stand?

I agree with you, It can be dauting though. We need God's GRACE  to do it....But if you choose to hold on to bitterness, no one suffers but you. You lose your peace, then possibly your health. It is just not worth it. God says to 

you, ‚"Let go. Forgive them their debts, just as I have forgiven you yours.”

I watched this video on forgiveness and it touched my heart.

Can you do it?

The ultimate goal of forgiveness is to let go of hurt and anger and to replace it with love, and empathy.Forgiveness is like the fragrance a flower gives, after it has been stepped on.
