BROKEN RECORD

Shut up!!! The voices in my head say
I hear it loud and clear, every hour, every minute and every second.
You just can’t do it. Don’t bother trying
Leave it for those who can. You are just busy body.

Hush!!! The people around me say.
My family, friends and familiar strangers too
Why? Is it your business as well?
Talent? Leave it the agents to sort that out

You sound like a broken record
My sassy voice tells them
Yes. A broken record.
A twisted white tape that is tired of being played over and over again
A cracked CD plate that is scratched to the T
I’m not listening ‘cos I can’t hear you.
You are breaking up.
What did you say again?
The cackling sound of a cock sounds louder than you...
Yes. You sound like a broken record.

The Misfit

Hi everyone,
Is it just me or did you think the opening ceremony of the London Olympic games was awesome?

My favourite scenes were the Mr. Bean scene (Had a good laugh) and the James Bond scene. The match past was also an eye-opener (there were some countries that I never knew existed) and I also wondered how countries like Greece, Afghanistan, etc found time to prepare even with all the crisis going on there. I guess it proves that 'SPORTS' possesses magical powers and its prowess is felt when all the continents come together.
What's your thoughts on the Olympic games?

Congratulations to Yi Siling of China for winning the first gold medal of the Olympic games...I'm sure more of your favourites will win (Don't lose hope)...

Anyway, today's post is on being a misfit. Do you feel like one sometimes? especially in the worship of God?
Please watch this spoken words video by Ezekiel. It's truly inspirational.

What's your thoughts on its message?
Are you proud being tagged a misfit? Are you scared of being yourself?
or do you think the video doesn't make sense and what other's think matters?

Please share your opinion on this.

For me,I agree with the saying "there's no difference between standing out and being outstanding". I am happy to be tagged a misfit.

Thank you so much for reading. You rock!!! Hugs.

Why I hate Religion but love Jesus

Hi Everyone,
So last week, my friend showed me this video that's gone viral on youtube.
It's a poem that highlights the difference between false religion and Jesus. Please Click here to watch.
I agree with most of the point he raised.
The church shouldn't be a museum for good people rather it should be a hospital for the broken. Do people know we are Christian 'cos it's on Facebook or do we actually live Christianity.

You need to listen to his message. I loved it. Hopefully, you will too.

Strutting out now...
Thanks for reading and watching :)

MY NIGHTLY FACETS

In a timely fashion I was made, arriving just in time for my date with the east, a good wife like me knows that lateness is no excuse for butchering a perfect relationship especially when the west is involved.

From the exit of the burning yellow diamond, I slowly approach, little pace I take, here and there, going where mother earth wants me.

I am beautiful when decorated with the shimmering stars and the moon queen dazzles in my theatre, she is the grandeur of the night.

Sometimes, I stand alone; lonely, scared and cold. When really sad, I scream for attention and tear-up, bringing in the flood; incessant whipping from the thunder opens up the ground and scares little kids; and I always get noticed especially in the company of thunder's lightening friend. However, my main goal is to make the world happy, despite my colour.

I am proud of myself. I am the tall, dark and beautiful one. So many myths revolve around me. Trust me, don’t believe all you hear. But, when you are important like me, then I guess you will be talked about.

I am just another beautiful creation, glorifying the Almighty One in my own little way.  I eaves drop on your thoughts and peep at you but not judge you.

I am just being me- the night, another marvel in this beautiful world, kissing you good night as you drift into dream land.

Thank you... (Bowing my head ~Hehehehehe~).

HOLA FRIEND ~ love u loads~

I keep a journal I call 'days and nights'. It's so precious to me and holds my favourite memories in life. There's a lot in it and it's my little sister's fave read partially because of some juicy stuff in it (hehehehehe)...
Well, on Saturday, as usual, I was out and about in Lagos with close friends just basking in the warmth of their company. It was tres lovely, lunch at eko hotel, then the beach and finally ended the day at the mall.
It was fun, refreshing and I even made new friends on my way back home{Though I got home late and was spanked:-(}
So as usual, after reading my bible, it was time out with 'days and nights' and lo and behold, I saw the most amazing letter. Apparently, my 'sometimes oh-so-bossy-and-nosey' baby sister wrote this:
Hola Friend,
How are you doing today? I missed hanging out with you. Going to the beach, picking shells and Sunday night gig. Can you remember Saturday night movies and checking out the boys?
Remember the karaoke’s and goat’s meat? Jumping cabs and riding horses? Helping out during exams not necessarily cheating.
Double fun and Friday cheers. Miss the ol’ days of paintings and jumping hoops.
Graduation day bade good night to us all; can we ever relive that memory? Our memories?
Miss you friend. Glad to know our kinship spirit never left. Will never have to wonder who my kids God parents will be.
I never broke my promise to you and never will.
Forever in my heart.
Love u loads.
Wow, laughed at first but I guess I learnt from it.
Even though having a 'me-time' is important, we can never underestimate the value of true friendship. Even with all the craziness and hard blows we face in the world, it's important that we find time for our friends (whether its God, family, a colleague, school friends, etc.), they have a way of uplifting our spirit, make us smile and be happy in life.
Whoever said that 'no man is an island' definitely knew what they were talking about.
Even if your friends aren't near, find time to talk to them. Trust me, they are IMPORTANT.
I'm talking to me too...My friends are in my head...
Have a fun day....
Love you loads...
