GOT PATIENCE?

One of my bad habits is ‘tapping my feet on the floor or my fingers on a surface’ especially when I’m WAITING. I hate waiting either for a bus or waiting for my take out in a restaurant.  I'm super impatient!!!!! Argh!!!!!

Everyone I know always says ‘patience is a virtue’ but it’s one of the hardest things ever. Why? Why is the hard to exhibit?

Why do we refuse to wait in line in a queue or why are we quick to cut off others in a traffic line rather than stay on our lane? Why do we want quick success as opposed to enjoy watering our hard work and watch it flower into beautiful rewards? Why do we want to get married ‘to Mr. Annoying’ rather than wait for God to provide our ‘Mr. ADAM’?

Why is patience a precious but ‘difficult-to-exhibit’ gift?

Someone once said that the world is a big boat and in it are millions of people paddling in different direction. Imagine the chaos!!! The frustration!!!

We are different individuals, some of us are lovable, some maybe 'not-so-lovable', we are stuck with each other, each wanting our way. We are unique, thus the usual fallout between each other. Truly, it takes a strong person to let go. It takes a strong person to wait. It takes a strong person to be patient. Though it’s hard J

Adopt the pace of nature- her secret is patience- Ralph Waldo Emerson

I read this during my ‘moment with God’ time and it made a lot of sense to me:
Put on a pair of shoes with shoelaces. Tie one shoe as you normally would. Then tie your second shoe using your hands to do opposite tasks. For example, if you usually make your first loop with your right hand, then make it with your left. Notice how difficult a simple task becomes when you do it a new way. Your usual way is easier because of how you've trained your muscles to work.Galatians 5:22 tells us that patience is a gift from God! But just like muscles, our patience needs to be trained so that it comes more easily and you learn how to handle challenging situations. God sometimes fills families with people who are quite different from each other. To learn to get along with those closest to youyou have to work at being patient with your differences. In 1 Corinthians 13:4, the first word used to describe love is patient. When Jesus told you to love your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22:39), He knew you would need patience to do this. God, in His creativity, made you different from all others. Because of this, you have the opportunity to learn patience. The next time something happens that requires you to wait, thank God for helping you practice your gift of patience. Being grateful may even help you keep from getting upset and losing your patience.

Notice, it says TRAIN, WORK, LOVE, LEARN. Consciously work on being patient.

Yup, work/ train yourself to be patient...in everything.....even in achieving your life goals. Enjoy the wait. Enjoy the ‘seemingly long’ beginnings. You will get there. Like they say, ‘Rivers knows this: There is no hurry. We shall get there someday’- A.A. Milne, Winnie the Pooh.

Patience is the companion of wisdom- ST. Augustine

Right now, I try to be patient while at the bus queue. I listen to music or think happy stuffs (why worry over something you cannot change?) And when I’m not patient (LOL), I have friends that call me to it (it’s fun when others call you out on what you say. LOL.) and I tell God I need more of it.

So, how are you? Got patience?

Do you also think that patience is importance even though it’s hard?

Take care of you.
Thanks a lot for reading....and thanks for your patience in reading. Lol
Hugs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
