THE SIMPLE, ORDINARY AND LITTLE THINGS

Hello Everyone :)

What do you take for granted?
What have you stopped seeing?

  • The fact that you are awake?
  • The fact that you are healthy?
  • The fact that you can read, talk.......work?
  • The fact that you have technology, and can think?
  • The fact that right now, at this moment, you have peace?
  • Your family, friends? encouragements, or the critics?
  • The dirty dishes in the sink, reminding you that there is food, the dirty cloths in the wash room and the fact that you can even wash, that you have clean water....or an unkempt bed space...the one the homeless man on my street wish he had?
  • Good company? Education?
  • Dirty cloths?
  • Water?
  • The different occupation in the world, you know, everyone playing their role to make the world a little better?
  • Giving life or a shared smile?
Never take for granted  the rainbow, earth, planets...the living and non living miracles we see in the world....never take God for granted.

Stop and think ....what are you taking for granted....it might be that little thing you overlook you know...

We often take for granted the very things that most deserve our gratitude. ~Cynthia Ozick

Grace.

Hello Mes Amis

One of the many thing I'm grateful for is GRACE....You?

It's not easy being 'Human' and serving God (Speaking honestly).
It's like you are in this big battle where you are trying to fight off all the crazy demons in your life and when you fail/ fall, you hear them say 'Oh! Why did you do this-I thought you were a child of God?

I love God. I love pleasing Him but most importantly, I'm glad that He promises to strengthen us when we are weak, and I'm glad that He's provided us with more than enough 'GRACE'/ abundant love when we falter.

I'm so grateful for His Grace :))

And I'm slowly learning to show that same grace to others. To love others even when I don't feel like and to ask for strength and grace when I'm lacking it :)

Grace is truly a precious gift. What do you think?

I love this poem by James L. A. Huetson

Grace and Mercy

Grace is when I get what I haven’t earned.
Mercy is when I don’t get what I deserve.
Grace is when I wake up in the early morn,
And hear the birds sing and calm every nerve.

Mercy is when I haven’t lost another friend
By operating my mouth without a caring thought.
Being given a new beginning instead of a sorry end.
When I have no regrets for not doing what I ought.

Grace is sitting in the beauty of a valley,
Looking up at the hills covered with summer browning.
Knowing that they are not hills at all
But are at the edge of a prairie with wheat fields growing.

Mercy lies in the real life fact
I could not hear the birds and their beautiful singing.
Without a stranger performing the act
That constructed the aids to give me my hearing.

Then I was able to see the hills so beautifully glowing
With the white-capped Snake River so gorgeous and vital.
Mercy then provided a surgeon capable and knowing
To remove cataracts giving me vision clear and total.

I have Mercy and Grace beyond my deserving.
There is vision and hearing when both were gone.
My Spirit with gratitude doth both pray and sing,
To the Love of the Universe that goes on and on.

Song of the day: This is God by Hillsong

'Your Grace is enough, More than I need'. Thank you God....

Oh sweet sweet grace :)
Enjoy the rest of your day.....

XOXO

Thanks a billion for reading....

The Art of Forgiveness

The picture is not related to the post or maybe it is (if the wife forgives her husband for forgetting)...Just want to make you laugh a little...I did too...Hehehehehehehe....
Back to basics .^_^.

Is it easy to forgive?
I remember Sunday school class from some years back, we were talking about Jesus and my teacher told us the story of Peter, Jesus and the art of forgiveness. She said, Peter asked the Lord how often he should forgive his brother. The Lord's answer to him was simple: Up to 70 times seven times. (Matthew 18:22) In other words, all the time!

I’ve tried to live by that, you know, ‘To err is human but to forgive is
divine’....But it’s not easy...

I remember one incident a long time ago, I was so angry and didn’t let go of the hurt I felt then. I refused to talk to or forgive those hurt me...I admit I was maniac, but one day, it dawned on me that being angry wasn’t helping at all. Felt like a hypocrite too because How can i say I love God whom I can’t see and hate my fellow human being whom I see? My mom says, if you want forgiveness, then forgive others.

Forgiving others isn’t easy though. Imagine being in the same situation as the guy in the movie ‘Law abiding citizen’. Someone comes to your house and rape/kill your wife and kids. Would you forgive?

Or imagine being in the shoes of my friend Naima, whose bestie ‘or so she thought’ stole her man. Would you forgive your friend or your man?

What if someone killed your child mistakenly, probably due to drunk driving, would you forgive that person?

It’s not easy but I’ve always looked at things this way, when you see yourself as being as imperfect as the one who hurt you, you would forgive, ‘Cos really, if errors were what God watched, who would stand?

Still think it's hard to forgive?

“True forgiveness is when you can say, "Thank you for that experience.”
 Oprah Winfrey

Martin Luther Said ‘Forgiveness is not an occasional act, it is a constant attitude.”
“The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.”  Mahatma Gandhi,

I agree with you, It can be dauting though. We need God's GRACE  to do it....But if you choose to hold on to bitterness, no one suffers but you. You lose your peace, then possibly your health. It is just not worth it. God says to
you, ‚"Let go. Forgive them their debts, just as I have forgiven you yours.”

I watched this video on forgiveness and it touched my heart.

Can you do it?

The ultimate goal of forgiveness is to let go of hurt and anger and to replace it with love, and empathy.Forgiveness is like the fragrance a flower gives, after it has been stepped on.

Have a great day....

Thanks a lot for reading. Hugs!!!!

“To be a Christian means to forgive the inexcusable because
God has forgiven the inexcusable in you.”
